Anna
I was born on 8th June 2005 in the Cesky Krumlov hospital Maternity ward. It was already warm outside, so I did not need to bring that much with to the hospital. I was born rather quickly, so it was almost a miracle, that daddy came in time. He used to work far from home, but I wanted him at my delivery, so that morning I did not let him go.
In the hospital it was nice, the doctors and nurses were very friendly and also I had many visitors and everybody was looking forward to seeing me. Mom says that I was very nice and calm girl, played with toys, later on browsed through books, so she could work on her PC from time to time, just great. I was crawling nice and slow because I am a Gemini and a big leisure lover. I did not like to walk, so Mom helped me to stand up and I liked that a lot, so I walked just a few steps with help. But when I was 1 year old, I got the Varicella and that made me rather weak. At the age of 1 year and 3 months I stood up and walked even less and after the vaccination of Trivivac I had very strong post vaccine reaction. I had very high fever, strong rash and I was not feeling well at all. At the age of 16 months I had vaccination against Hepatitis B and 2 weeks after that both my legs slackened. I cried a lot and I could not stand up at all, mom says I was like a rag baby. By that time both mom and dad were very sad and they were with me at all kinds of checkups. In the Thomayer University Hospital in Prague they drew my blood and diagnosed a genetic disorder Type II Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
